My Dog Dou Dou (我的狗蚪蚪) Synopsis
This is a warm, feel-good fantasy-action drama about a gambler father, his estranged son, and how a dog with predictive powers brings them closer together. Through their ups and downs, the father, Meng, discovers the meaning of altruistic love and loyalty, and the son, Xing, finally finds the father he has always been looking for.

Usually we heard the others is talking about "Dog is human's best friend". Why did they say so? From my opinion, one of the reason would be they are our accompany. And another reason would be they can guard our house when we are going out. But sometime we did heard about the dog abuse in newspaper, TV and also the internet including eat the dog meats in some of the country. Hope that this movie can make you change your perception on the dogs and this movie is quite suitable for the dog lovers as well.

In the movie, Xing have a single-parent family and he stayed with his father, Meng who love gambling a lot. He borrow the money from the loan shark to gamble. But unfortunately, he lose in the poker. And this give us the message, which is "Do Not Gamble". His wife left him because he is gamble a lot and she can't stands with him. Do not addicted to gamble as it will bring a lot of effects in the rest of your life.

Before Xing meet Dou Dou, it is belongs to the scientist and whose wife is sick. He use Dou Dou as the experiment in order want to treat his wife. Dou Dou managed to run away from him and it met Xing nearby the playground. After they being struck by lightning during the raining day, it miraculously survives and starts to show special powers, with the magical ability to predict the winning 4D number combination accurately.






The people started looking for Dou Dou when Meng's friend put the news in the newspaper. The news in the newspaper make the scientist want Dou Dou back but Dou Dou doesn't want to follow him since it is very close to Xing. Dogs will love us if we treat them in good ways. But previously Meng shouldn't throw Dou Dou when Xing is not helping him buy 4D number (which is the third prize) and use the money to save Dou Dou because saving a dog's life is a good merit.





The loan shark, Ah Long did borrow a lot of money to Meng to gamble. At first, Meng had to run away and stayed in his friend's house for few days to evade a while. When they know Dou Dou can predict the winning 4D numbers, they try to kidnap Dou Dou. But when the dog not willing to give the winning 4D numbers and give the wrong 4D numbers, Ah Long whip the dog very hard. It's very hurt because mostly dog lovers can imagine how their dog was being harm.

When Ah Long is trying to kidnap Dou Dou, unfortunately Xing is fainted because of the asthma.
But luckily Xing can dream that Dou Dou is been abuse by the loan sharks. When Meng is saving the dog, and he is bring a 4D numbers which is given by Xing (as him tell Dou Dou about the 4D numbers and the dog is going to choose the numbers for them). Unfortunately the 4D numbers is not listed. But when the loan sharks is trying to hurt Meng, Dou Dou try to save him but it failed. This is quite touching because a dog is try to save its master.




The dog is very very weak and almost near to pass away because it hurt by the loan sharks. But it try to endure for Xing and see him for the last time. This scene can make a lot of people crying especially the dog lovers.










As a conclusion, we should love and treat the animals as our family because they are living things like us. Because they have feeling too, just same like the humans. When we are hurting them, they did feel the pain too. Some of the dogs might cry and some of them might finding the chance to fight back. Dogs can become more intelligent if we train them in better ways. As you know, dogs did help us a lot, for example, being the home guard, our accompany / best friends and so on. Besides that, fire fighter and police did used them for some operations to search for the victim and also the drugs. This movie brings us a very good message which is treat the dogs like your own family. Hope you can find the enjoyment when you are watching the movie.
