CHAPTER 030: Rio 2 (3D)

Location: Hall 7, MBO Subang Parade, First Floor, Subang Parade

This morning, around 11:30 a.m., I reached MBO Subang Parade and bought my <Rio 2> 3D Movie Ticket and Limited Edition <Rio 2> 3D Glasses and wanted to collect the point using my MBO ALLSTAR Card. But unfortunately the point are not entered into my card after the cashier swipe my card through the computer. The point for my MBO ALLSTAR Card is 1559 (last transaction is on 22nd February 2014) and they should add another 290 point (RM14.00 for <Rio 2> 3D Movie Ticket and RM15.00 for Limited Edition <Rio 2> 3D Glasses). After that I went for the lunch, and I returned and asked to see the manager. I understand that the staff in the cinema is innocent because the headquarter should fix the bug. Thanks God the cinema manger willing to help me to send the email to the headquarter and solve my issues. Because there are several cases that the point is not enter to the account after swipe the card. As a lesson, always check your point when you want to purchase your movie tickets or your concessions. Because the point can used to redeem the movie tickets and concessions in the future.

Around 01:00 p.m., Pedro and Nico are appeared at MBO Subang Parade, and the one who bought the movie ticket for <Rio 2> are eligible to take photo with Pedro and Nico through the photo machine. We did 3 pose and I shared it to my Facebook profile. At the same time the machine print the photo in 2 copies and it's looked awesome. After that I saw the in-charge person did bring the poster and the colouring book as well, I requested the Limited Edition <Rio 2> Movie Poster from her, and she gave me the movie poster with caption "Welcome To The Jungle!" and including all the characters inside the movie poster. I liked the movie poster because it's contain all the characters in the movie poster. Around 01:25 p.m., when the cinema hall is opened, I bought MBO Rio 2 Combo (Soft Drink (Regular) + Popcorn (Regular) + <Rio 2> Tattoo Sticker) before I entered the hall to enjoy my movie with my brand new Limited Edition <Rio 2> 3D Glasses.

Movie Review
You are advised to watch <Rio> before you watch <Rio 2> because it's continuous story from <Rio>. From <Rio>, after Blu and Jewel defeated the bird catcher and Nigel the cockatoo, they live in the city of Rio de Janeiro. When their owners Linda and Tulio were doing the expedition and found the hidden tribe of Spix's Macaw, and they planned to go to Amazon rainforest because want to meet their species. They thought they are the last bird in their species. I'm feel touched when Jewel meet her father, Eduardo in the rainforest. At the same time, the loggers boss was angry when watching the news about Linda and Tulio because he is doing the illegal logging at Amazon rainforest. And he paid visit to his logging camp at Amazon rainforest and asked his workers to stop the expedition. During the journey in Jewel's "village", Eduardo brought Blu fly around and train Blu. From Blu's words, Eduardo knew that he is the pet. At the same time, Eduardo don't like human-made thing in the group. This made Nico need to find the new helmet and three of them (including Pedro and Rafael) are doing the audition to find the qualified animals for performance. But most of them are failed. Nigel the cockatoo named himself as "Bob" the bird and joined the audition while he is trying to revenge on Blu but he catched the wrong bird who is looked like Blu and doing the audition. "Bob" is chosen during the audition and he is planning to revenge with Gabi, the poison dart frog and Charlie the tamandua. When Blu is looking for Linda, and he is being caught by Roberto (Jewel's ex-boy friend) because Eduardo asked Roberto track Blu. At the same time the loggers are cutting the tree using logging tractor. Roberto become panic and mad and Blu tried to asked him to report this to the group while Blu searched for Linda and Tulio. Both of them are tied in the tree and Blu saved them. Blu saw the loggers want to cut off the tree and I feel sad because the birds going to lost their home. Eduardo want to move with the other birds but Jewel won't go without Blu, Blu persuades the macaw to fight back with the loggers since this is their home and all agreed. Linda and Tulio tried to stop the loggers but failed, and because of the birds are standing on the tree branch, they (the loggers) stopped their work. The loggers boss asked them to continue their work and the birds together with Linda and Tulio attacked them. At the same time, Felipe the Scarlet Macaw who always have the rivalry and territorial dispute with the Spix's Macaws helped Spix's Macaws to fight with the loggers. I love these scene because Felipe should be the enemy for Eduardo but he willing to help to defend their home. All the loggers are run away except for the loggers boss is trying to cut the tree by explode the tree using dynamite. Luckily Blu can steals the dynamite to the sky and explode. At the same time Nigel is followed Blu because he want to revenge and they was fight with each other. Gabi and Charlie passed by and want to give Blu the poison but unfortunately it's hit on Nigel. Actually Nigel is not dead because Gabi's poison is not poison. In the end of the movie, Blu and Jewel are planned to stay in Amazon rainforest together with Rafael, Nico, Pedro, Luiz the bulldog while Nigel and Gabi are sent back to Rio with Linda and Tulio for the further research. Overall, this movie is good because it's bring the message about logging will destroy the bird's home.
