The Flu (감기) Trailer
The Flu (감기) Synopsis
A group of illegal immigrants are smuggled to South Korea inside a shipping container, but when it's opened in Bundang, an affluent suburb of Seoul, it's discovered that all of the immigrants are dead, except for one man, a carrier of a deadly strain of H5N1 (avian influenza, or bird flu). As the man escapes, he quickly spreads the virus to nearby residents. With an outbreak rate of 2,000 new cases each hour, with death occurring within 36 hours of infection, the epidemic plunges the city into total chaos.
Without a cure and out of fear that the disease will spread to the rest of the country, and possibly the world, the government quarantines the infected in Bundang. As the people desperately struggle to survive within those walls, doctor and single mother Kim In-hae (Soo Ae) scrambles to find a vaccine for the virus. When her only daughter Mi-reu (Park Min-ha) is infected, she is helped by rescue worker Kang Ji-goo (Jang Hyuk), who saves her from a car accident, enabling them to join together and race against time to find a cure and keep the girl alive.
