CHAPTER 052: Maleficent (2D ATMOS)

Location: Hall 3, GSC 1 Utama, Fourth Floor, Highstreet, 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya

This morning, I reached GSC 1 Utama and there are few person queue in front of the counter because of the FREE <Maleficent> Special Screening Ticket by The Star. The screening is in 2D at Dolby Atmos cinema hall which located at Hall 3, GSC 1 Utama. The coupon from The Star Newspaper (29th May 2014) is required to get 2 tickets. Around 9:30 a.m., when Jamran reached, I planed to ask him to cut my queue and get the FREE tickets for Wei Zheng and his girl friend, but unfortunately me and Jamran was scolded by a stupid person in a very rude and uncomfortable way. Jamran have no choice and have to queue in behind the lane while I queue in front of the lane. Around 10:40 a.m., the staff from The Star Newspaper came and gave out the movie tickets. Thanks God I quick enough to get the twin seats for me and Jamran while Wei Zheng and his girl friend sit at the side of the cinema.

Movie Review
The story line of <Maleficent> is awesome because the movie covered the fairy tale. Maleficent was a happy fairy when she is young until she met human called Stefan and love him. But she didn't expected that he will steal her wings because of want to be the king. From here, it's clearly shown the human is greedy and selfish to get anything that they want. And that time, she can't control herself because she want to revenge on King Stefan on his newly born daughter baby. She went to the ceremony and put the curse on the baby. Because of the curse, he asked the 3 pixies (Knotgrass, Thistlewit and Flittle) to bring the baby away and take care of her until she is 16 years old. Maleficent always follow the baby (called Aurora) where ever she goes. She know that the 3 stupid pixies can't take good care of Aurora, and she asked the crow that she saved to feed Aurora. When Aurora was turned 15 years old, Maleficent saved her from Stefan's soldier and bring her to the Moors. She believed Maleficent is her fairy godmother. Over the next few days, Aurora visits Maleficent and Diaval in the Moors, spending time with them and the other fairies. Maleficent begins to warm up to the girl and comes to see her no longer as an enemy, but as a friend. After returning her home and putting her to bed, Maleficent tries to remove the curse from her, but she is unable to since no power on earth can lift it but true love’s kiss. This leaves her worried. This showed that Maleficent is not evil at all and she can't control herself because of the revenge. We shouldn't curse someone who is innocent although he / she has the relationship with the person that we hate. The story ended when Maleficent get her wings back and making Aurora as her Queen. As a conclusion, the movie is a sad and touching movie for me and there are a lot of moral values where people should learn.
